The story so far: Karn knows someone has tracked him down, but has no idea who and is powerless to act. He and journalist Tom Bellamy are locked into a precarious and sinister collaboration, neither fully trusting the other. Tom’s been enlisted to help write Karn’s next story. But Karn’s motives are suspect at best… Tom is now a lodger in Eleanor Baldwin’s apartment, her alcoholic husband having been admitted to a health spa to dry out. But it’s not too long before lovely local model Romanda Chang attracts his attention...
