You'd probably categorise me as a multi-genre author.
A retired professional who has worked in three continents, I started writing 20 years ago. It's been a long journey and producing work of publishable quality is a steep learning curve. On that note, I've now completed three novels which are out and about: one is a story about a virgin soldier who was involved in an atrocity on his first patrol in Vietnam. Left for dead in a jungle village, his life was saved by a young girl whom he later adopted as his daughter. The two of them made a thrilling escape to Hong Kong, where they lived under assumed names until their whereabouts was discovered by a vengeful brother-in-arms.
The other two novels are romances. One is obvious from the cover design; it's a cross-cultural love story. The other, more modern in its style and aspirations, tells the story of a shy single mum who finds herself the object of interest of a much younger man, a confident and arrogant Romeo.
Two other publications have had the finishing touches applied; one is a gripping crime novel, (not the typical police procedural), and the other is a collection of stories, the centrepiece of which is a novella detailing the violent and tragic demise of an African mission hospital.
